Yes, they are slightly larger diameter. But I have loaded several thousand of them (12GA), in gun club and STS hulls. They are a great wad.

Would someone please list a load with Remmy hulls and the TC wad, I like green dot or Tight group with 1 1/8 oz load, but I have nothing to start with for load info. I am thinking of trying this wad, but need a starting point, anyone please. DDF

I've used Green dot, both 21 and 22grs for ONE OUNCE loads with this wad. For 1.125 oz loads I've used Red Dot @ 19grs. These are the only loads I've used in Rem. hulls

If 19grs of Red Dot is a safe load, (and it is printed data), one would think 19grs of Green Dot would be ok.

From the BPI manuel"High performance loads for clays"

12ga STS hull
win209 primer
22grains Greendot
Z21 wad
1 oz
9900psi
1290fps

or

12g STS hull
win209 primer
700x 17.5 grains
1 1/8 oz of shot
10,100 psi
1210fps

Not aware of any Titewad loads for the Z21 wad there maybe but none in my reference material

Not using the STS hull!
However using the following:

FED GM hull
Fed 209a primer
20-22 grains Greendot
9000-10,000 psi
1200-1250fps
Same resource High performance loads for clays

I used the Z21 to load RST 2 1/2" using Hodgdon recipe for Cheddite 2 3/4". It fits and crimps well.

The Cheddite 2 3/4" recipe is; 1 oz; 18.1 Clays; Ched 209; GU1225 wad for 7200 psi and 1180 fps.
....What is a GU1225?

I used the Z21 because it is short enough for the 2 1/2" and sure looks like what RST uses in their 2 1/2" which are Cheddite hulls.

Anyone see a problem? I haven't test fired one yet.

After my 20 ga trap commander wads came in I loaded a few with 7/8 oz #6 to check patterns. I found some of the wads laying right at the target at 35 yds, thought that was a little far. When I picked them up,most of the petals were still stitched togeather. I wouldn't think this is mormal. Any ideas???? Patterns weren't anything to brag about either.

Break the stiching as you are loading them, right before you put them in the wad guide. I ordered some in 12 gauge, should be here in a week, we will see what is real as far as if they produce better patterns for long yardage handicap. DDF

DDF, please pattern test this wad, and get back to us. You will love it. It shines at long range, and handles high velocity well.

LC man I will, they shipped Monday, so by the weekend I will have them. Thinking about using Green dot and Tightgroup, also have BPI's reloading book coming. Will pattern on cardboard @ 40 yards and compare to my 18 grains, Tight Group, TGT wad, West coast # 7.5 shot @ 1230 fps, in Remmy hulls.
They may not have loads for what I am looking for but I should be able to draw conservative loads by comparing what they do have against what Lymans 5th edition has. DDF

20-22grs Green dot works for me in Gold Medals. I've burnt red dot in remmy hulls for a 1200 fps load. Don't know why green dot wouldn't work. When i'm feeling flush, PB in gold medal hulls is a great load.

Thanks LC,
Right now all I have for hulls is Remmy's (nitros, STS, hard bodies) and Federal papers. May have a chance in 2 weeks to get some gold medals at the Helena shoot. DDF
