I am presently reworking a shotgun that was brought to me. It is a double barrell with exposed hammers. The only name on it is Metbor, Belgium with a small tree that looks like an evergreen on both hammer lock plates. The stock was broken off when I got it and most parts were rusted together. I have managed to get everything loose and working once again, but will need one trigger and stock to complete the gun. Can anyone tell me someting about the maker, when it was manufactured, and if parts are available? Thanks

Could that name possibly be METEOR?. If so, the gun was made by a Belgian maker or agent located in Liege,Belgium from about 1890 to 1914. This name was connected with Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich,CT and H & D Folsome a large wholesale and retailer dealer who was located in New York City. As to replacement parts, the maker went out of business over 100 years ago but you can try Dixie Gun Works for parts. Otherwise you'll have to get a gunsmith or a machinest to make them for you.

Sorry 'bout that. It is a Meteor. I'm looking for a stock blank or a picture of one so that I can put this gun back in operable condition. I've got all the mechanical parts working, but the stock is missing.

A picture will do you no good. A talented stockmaker could build you one from scratch, but it would cost a few thousand dollars. My advice... abandon the project.
