 Post subject: Long Tom- shot gun

I have a shot gun single shot it is stamped Long tom on the side it is stamped 12Ga choke on the barrel.I need to know who make it and if there are any parts I can get .I need a new stock.

Long Tom was a trade name used by Sears and several other companies. There are several manufacturers who stamped this name on guns.

We'll need everything stamped on the gun and any pertenent details you can think of to get an ID.

there is a number stamped on the barrell by the shell ejector it is 509972 on the other side there is a 3below the trigger guard there is a ser.# A509972. On the fore arm grip the # stamped in side isA972 that pc. snaps on there is no screws that hold it on.

I believe that the serial numbers will leave out Stevens as the maker of your gun.

Sounds kind of like a Harrington Richardson serial number... but the locations don't seem right?
