This could be the perfect venue for walking as we are hoping for mild temperatures! The course plays about 1 1/2 mile long with numerous benches along the shaded cart pathes.

Bushy Creek Clays has numerous areas on the property for trailer and cart storage. We are however somewhat limited in the primary parking lot so we generally reserve that area for vehicles without trailers. The facility is located on a dead end road and is secured with gates! We are prepared to provide security if it appears necessary.

Last year on my way to the US Open I stopped at Bushy Creek to teach for a couple days. Having never been there before I wasn't sure what to expect. I've traveled all over the world to some of the most incredible ranges there are and admittedly wasn't expecting much from this small town Alabama sporting clays range. I was imagining a mom and pop operation with tight shooting holes and simple/boring targets. Well, my expectations couldn't have been further from reality. Bushy creek is a beautiful ground with both wide open shooting fields and great settings for stations throughout the woods. Gary Cox is a top notch target setter who understands timing and vision and will set a course that all levels of clay shooters are sure to enjoy. Everyone I met at Bushy Creek was extremely hospitable and made me feel right at home. This will be a shoot you don't want to miss. Good luck to all the competitors. Shoot well and have fun!
Thanks Brad for the compliments!! Everyone with Bushy Creek is working overtime and excited about the upcoming state championship. I am laying awake at night visualizing each target, each field, and each tree to insure that every target is perfect and reasonably challenges each shooter. Currently up to 115 shooters and still picking up a few each day! For those from the state of Texas this might not sound like much but in Alabama this is cause for celebration!! Thanks to all the out-of state shooters that are registered, we know you will go home anxious to return. Gary Cox
Will anyone be selling ammo at the shoot this year? Hoping to find the Clever seller there.
