Several years ago a friend of mine gave me a 12 ga Fox Sterlingworth SxS shotgun. Her brother in law tried to "disbale " it by removing and loosing the safety and related parts as well as loosing one of the screws for the trigger guard. I've been watching the parts section of Gunbroker and ordered some parts a year or so ago that were supposed to fit it , but they are not correct . The flat sliding piece that blocks the triggers is too short for my gun. however I do think that the safety button might be right. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a source for finding parts for it. It's in very nice shape and a shame to not be able to use it for the sake of some minor parts-
I'm looking for a latch that holds the forend iron to the 12 ga barrels. This latch (or rocker) fits in the barrel lug with two pins. This Sterlingworth has extractors, not ejectors. If anyone knows where I can obtain this piece please inform. Thanks, Jay. jaygamberini@yahoo.com
Try Jerry @www.andrewscanerods.com. He posted a while back on the Fox site he had bought a whole bunch of parts for all kinds of doubles. He is an L.C. Smith guy at heart but has one big enough to help guys with other brands. Lee.
