If it is quite old:

The J. Stevens Arms Company used the name PARAGON on old model 311 double barrel shotguns. The Baker Gun and Forging Company, circa 1886 to 1919, also used the name PARAGON for high grade shotguns

from this question: I have been given a double barrel shotgun from my grandfather and am trying to find out any information I can on it. The only markings in has on it are "PARAGON MODEL CS" and "PROOF TESTED 12 GAUGE". No other markings are to be found. It is a hammerless side by side, rather plain looking shotgun. I am very interested in possibly knowing it's age and manufacturer. Thanks
